A father of school age children in New Jersey died in an accident at his home. It happened during a routine task. He had the proper skills to do the work.  Regrettably, the slip and fall proved fatal. To add to the enormous grief, he did not have life insurance. Without his income, his family will struggle to make ends meet. Friends are helping, but it will not be enough.

Look at these research findings from LIMRA International about life insurance in the lives of Americans.

  • Nearly a third of U.S. households have no life-insurance coverage, the highest percentage in more than four decades
  • About 35 million U.S. households neither own their own life-insurance policies nor are covered under employer sponsored plans.

Many U.S. families are not prepared for an untimely death

  • Among households with children under 18, four in ten respondents said they would immediately have trouble meeting living expenses if a primary wage earner died, and another three in ten would have trouble keeping up with expenses after several months...

Many U.S. couples are underinsured

  • Half of the respondents said they needed more life insurance, but many haven’t bought it because their financial priorities include paying off debt.

“Clearly, more American families are living on the edge, surviving paycheck to paycheck, and, as our new- study suggests, too many are without the safety net that life insurance provides,” said Robert Kerzner, president of Limra.

I look forward to speaking with you about this opportunity to protect the financial future of your loved ones. You can be among the ones who have life insurance.
